Michael Divens joined the PWA Wealth Management team in 2015 to lead the investment group. Michael brings a diverse background as he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He spent 11 years working as a chemical engineer and capital project manager for two large Pittsburgh Chemical Companies. He is a member of the Investment Policy Committee.
He received his Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 and graduated with the highest honors, being elected to the honors program, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Using the knowledge from his engineering base and MBA experience, Michael has developed an unbiased approach to investing, focusing on sound fundamentals and technical analysis. The benefit of this analysis is the elimination of emotions in the investment process.
Michael has passed Level 2 of the CFA Exam and continues his work to achieve the CFA designation. The CFA designation is globally recognized and attests to a charterholder’s success in a rigorous and comprehensive study program in the field of investment management and research analysis.
Michael has run a charity golf outing for 15+ years in honor of his father, a former Trafford High School graduate. This golf outing has provided over $40,000 in scholarships for graduating Penn Trafford High School students entering college.
Michael was raised and currently lives in Trafford, PA with his wife Rachel and daughters Hannah and Aubrey. In his spare time Michael enjoys playing golf, basketball and softball.
